Prague in Berlin carries over Red Pillow, the Prague-born concept that's become one of this year's undisputed highlights on that city's scene — and Berlin gets the full transplant, not a watered-down import. Inspired by Toyen's famous painting, the concept treats comfort and flow as an invitation rather than a suggestion: bodies loosen, inhibitions drop layer by layer, and the night unfolds less like an event and more like surrender in slow motion. Expect touch, tension, and the kind of unhurried intimacy that only comes when a room agrees, together, to let go.
Headlining is Marie Pravda, the Prague-based DJ and producer behind the project fórum — her fearless, boundary-pushing sets have shaped the Czech club scene, fusing psychedelic and abrasive grooves with hypnotic techno and psytrance. She's a regular behind the decks at Berghain's Panorama Bar, and brings that same intensity to anchor the Red Pillow stage on Insomnia's Underground.
SJ Yellow follows, a dynamic force on Prague's electronic scene and resident at Fuchs2, blending techno, breakbeat, trance, gabber and psytrance into a style she's dubbed "Full HD ADHD." A former professional dancer, her hip-hop and funk roots surface in mixing that feels as physical as it sounds.
Miss Unleashed joins from Berlin, co-founder of UNLEASHED and shaped by the city's own club culture — her peak-time sets carry a commercial edge without ever losing pressure. Direct and emotional, her techno is built to move bodies and forge real connection on the floor.
Insomnia is one of Berlin's oldest sex-positive clubs, spread across several luxuriously furnished floors and kept to spotless standards of hygiene — with a bar selection that more than holds its own. Tonight its Underground becomes home to the Red Pillow stage.
